Quick answers

Where do I find ClipZen?

ClipZen lives in your menu bar, without a Dock icon. Click its icon or use Command-Shift-V, the default shortcut. You can change the shortcut in preferences.

Why doesn’t a selected clip paste automatically?

Enable automatic paste and grant permission under System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility. If permission is unavailable, selecting a clip still copies it; return to the destination and press Command-V.

Why are some clips missing?

Check whether capture is paused or the source app is excluded in Privacy preferences. Repeated identical content is deduplicated, and older unpinned clips outside collections may be removed when your history limit is reached.

How do I delete my history?

Delete a clip individually, or use Clear History to remove unpinned clips outside collections. Pins and collection members are preserved, so delete those items separately to remove all stored clips. Exported files and external backups must be deleted separately.

Can I export my history?

Open Settings → General → History and choose export. The JSON export is unencrypted and may contain sensitive content. Save it somewhere you trust.

Is ClipZen available yet?

The free Mac App Store release is being prepared. There is no public download yet. The homepage will link to the listing when the release is ready.
